Mr. Rodney Britt is a North Carolina native that grew up in the Washington Metropolitan area since the age of 6.  After High School, he attended North Carolina Central University where he majored in and received a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.  After graduation, Mr. Britt began his career in private industry.  While employed in private industry, Mr. Britt married his wife of 39 years, Ms. Carrie Younger Britt.  He next joined the U.S. Navy as a Commissioned Officer.  While in the Navy, he and his wife welcomed the birth of their two sons, Rodney Jr. and Robert. After 5 years, he left active duty but remained in the active reserves and continued his work career as an auditor in the Federal Government.  He is now retired from the Navy (2000) and Government (2014). Mr. Britt’s personal interests over the years have included basketball and baseball (playing and officiating); playing golf; and engaging in part-time business work in taxation, accounting, and property title work, which he continues to do in retirement.

In 2018, Mr. Britt was diagnosed with Stage 1 Prostate Cancer. He chose surgical treatment.  Since his surgery he remains cancer free.  He Praises God for this blessing.
