Dr. Denise Gooch, MD

Denise R. Gooch, MD, MHA, is a board-certified radiation oncologist at Maryland Oncology Hematology. Dr. Gooch received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine before completing a residency in internal medicine at the Western Reserve Care System. She also completed both a residency and a fellowship in radiation oncology at The Ohio State University Hospital/Arthur James Cancer Hospital, where she also served as chief resident. Dr. Gooch has also received her master’s in health administration from the University of Maryland.
With over two decades of experience, Dr. Gooch is highly skilled in both radiation oncology and the treatment of benign diseases. She has a clinical interest in skin, prostate, breast, colorectal, head and neck, gynecologic, and pediatric cancers, as well as the co-management of keloids with radiation therapy.
Dr. Gooch is a current member of the Prince George’s Community Advisory Group and Cancer Coalition and participates in yearly cancer health screenings and health fairs. She is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American College of Radiology.
Dr. Gooch is a native Washingtonian, and enjoys spending her free time with her husband and grown children. She also is a novice gardener – and recently grew her first batch of basil, rosemary, and parsley. She enjoys reading, creating new dishes, spending time with friends, and spoiling her 2 cats.
